While in the Mexican Circus Convention I met Iman Lizarazu, with whom I was fortunate enough to be able to translate and learn from in her workshops. I told Iman that I was not convinced with the finale of my show and she took a look and guided me through a caring and amazing creative process to discover a more convincing ending for the show! And today, in the Ozomatli Festival, in the Aguilita Plaza in Mexico City, I premiered the new finale for the show “Fracasate Conmigo” (Fail in Love with Me). It was a wonderful change, not only for the ending, but for the show as a whole. Calm, breathing, care and union are a few words which come to mind for todays show. In fact, one of the volunteers gave me her necklace on stage when i showed “interest” in it, and when it fell off later on in the show, she came and put it back on again and said “you´re doing great, I admire you and your show”. It is very touching to receive this type of interaction and feedback whilst on stage! So thanks to a couple of weeks shared with Iman Lizarazu, I feel as though I have made a nice breakthrough.
